Partner Assisted Stretching with Andrea Vallario

Join Andrea Vallario, Thai Yoga Practitioner, as you explore a blend of partner stretching and Thai Massage with your friend or loved one. This playful 2 hour class will offer you the opportunity to better get to know our own and each other's physical bodies while learning how to give effective, feel-good, hands-on support and massage. The techniques of working along Sen and Meridian energy lines, finding acupressure points and Thai Massage will be used. We will also explore ways to support one another and find greater ease and comfort in our physical bodies.
All are welcome with no prior yoga experience needed. Bring your partner, dear friend, family member or come yourself and meet someone in a unique and fun way.
Yoga Therapy Using a Chair with Connie Glore

This workshop is for conditions of the feet, hip, spine and shoulders. Arthritis of the spine, hip strength and shoulder mobility will be the focus during this 2 hour workshop. You will learn to adapt classic postures using a chair for a prop. Poses include standing, seated, twists and forward folding. All conditions improve with core strength, a long spine and a positive attitude!

From the internationally acclaimed program at the University of Massachusetts Medical Schools' Center for Mindfulness, HOME Yoga presents: Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). MBSR originally developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979 is a highly strctured, Comprehensive and highly engaging program that takes the form of eight weekly two and one half hour classes, and one all day retreat.
The programs' primary focus is the practice of mindfulness. Mindfulness involves cultivating the art of paying attention in a particular way to one's experience from moment to moment with both curiosity and wonder, and in the process, letting go of attachment to unhealthy mind, body and emotional states. This learning lends one to deep self understanding, and the learning of powerful methods for actively participating in one's personal well being.
Emerging studies validate that MBSR participants may experience:
