Little Yogis Entering Grades K - 2 Half Day Camp from 12 - 3pm
Session Dates: July 15 - 19, August 12 -16
Each day little yogis will explore a new theme designed to introduce yoga to children through fun and creative expression. Children will strengthen their bodies by imitating animals and nature while also learning basic yoga poses. Themed classes create a playful atmosphere to develop flexibility and explore ways to calm the mind.
Junior Yogis Entering Grades 3 -6 Half Day Camp from 12 - 3pm
Session Dates: July 22 -26, August 19 - 23
Each day junior yogis will learn and discuss the fundamentals and benefits of yoga. Children will learn techniques to center themselves adn practice fun yoga postures individually and as a group. Non competitive and fun, this camp provides children a place to develop strength, flexibility, concentration and confidence.
A typical day at camp includes:
Yoga and Movement, Craft, Group Games, Camp Songs, Relaxation and Journaling.
Each camper will create an age-appropriate yoga journal with pictures of poses that they learn. At the end of the week, campers will have a practice journal to help remember how to practice yoga at home.
Discount given to siblings and for multiple week registration. Campers who come multiple weeks will journal progressively more challenging poses.
Please bring a water bottle, mat and healthy (nut-free) snack.
